Through dynamic communication efforts—including engaging newsletters, partner collaborations, and community events—we share inspiring stories and practical tips that encourage Texans to plant native grasses and wildflowers and grow pocket prairies in their yards and communities across the state.

TPWF’s Wild Thumb app  launched in the winter of 2026. This user friendly and interactive app makes it easy to select available eco-region specific native plants and pocket prairie mixes and provides interactive step by step instructions on how to plant for success and where to buy plants.
