Restoration: Revitalizing Prairies, Sustaining Pollinators

Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation is expanding prairie and pollinator habitat restoration across Texas.

By awarding strategic grants to conservation partners like the Wildlife Habitat Federation, Native Prairies Association of Texas, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and Texas Wildlife Association, we fuel critical projects—from native seed distribution and herbicide support to equipment rentals, prescribed burns, and brush management.

Through the Grassland Restoration Incentive Program (GRIP), in partnership with the Oaks and Prairies Joint Venture, TPWF facilitates partnerships between landowners in target counties with TPWD wildlife biologists and land management experts to develop efficient and effective long-term solutions for creating healthier grassland habitat across the Oaks and Prairies ecoregion. With support from TPWF, the program provides funding to landowners as an incentive for carrying out approved grassland habitat improvements on their property.

These efforts rejuvenate natural landscapes, foster thriving environments for pollinators and wildlife, and lay the groundwork for sustainable land management that will protect our natural heritage for generations to come.
